A review request, from the counter to Google
Avis Boost sends a text message in your name after each visit. Here is what happens, step by step, for you and for your customer.
-
Step 1
You save the customer
First name and mobile number, at the till or after the appointment, from your phone or your computer. You can also import your customer file.
-
Step 2
They get a text in your name
The message goes out at the time you choose, for example a few hours after the visit, with your shop’s name as the sender. If they do not open the link, a single reminder follows after the delay you set.
-
Step 3
They give a rating from 1 to 5
The link opens a page in your name in their browser, with no app and no account. The page is shown in French, German or English.
-
Step 4
They post their review on Google
Google’s “Write a review” window opens directly, without going through the listing. From 4 stars by default it opens straight away, a setting for each shop.
-
Step 5
Or they write to you privately
If something went wrong, the page offers to write to you, and they can also post on Google. The message reaches your account, by email and, if you wish, as a browser notification. It is not published anywhere.
-
Step 6
You call back and resolve it
You see the rating, the message and the customer’s number. You call them, take the message in hand, then mark it as resolved.

Questions about how it works
When is the text message sent?
At the time you choose for each request, or after your shop’s default delay, for example three hours after the visit.
What if the customer does not respond?
A single reminder goes out after the delay set in the settings, if the customer has not opened the link. You can turn it off.
Can I send the request by email?
Yes. Each request goes by text message or by email, as you choose.
Does my customer need an account?
No. The link opens in their phone’s browser, with no app and no sign-up.
