Connect Calendly to Avis Boost
Every Calendly appointment creates the invitee in Avis Boost, and the review request goes after the appointment. A cancelled appointment cancels the request.
What you need
- A Calendly Standard plan or higher, required for Zapier.
- A Zapier account on a paid plan (Professional or higher): the "Webhooks by Zapier" action is not part of the free plan. The 14-day free trial lets you test everything.
- A question for the mobile number in your booking form: Calendly does not ask for it by default.
- Your Avis Boost address: in your space, Account > Integrations.
When the text message goes
The trigger fires as soon as the appointment is booked. Thanks to the appointment time sent in visit_at, the text message goes after the visit, following the sending delay of your establishment, or 2 hours after the appointment when no delay is set.
The steps
-
Step 1
Copy your Avis Boost address
In your Avis Boost space, open Account > Integrations, click "Get my address", then "Copy". Keep it to yourself: anyone who knows it can add contacts.
-
Step 2
Ask for the mobile number
In Calendly, edit your event type and add a question for the mobile number to the booking form. To receive the first and last name separately, choose that format in the invitee information settings of the event type.
-
Step 3
Connect Calendly in Zapier
In Zapier, create a Zap with the Calendly app and the "Invitee Created" trigger (also shown as "Invitee Created or Rescheduled"). Select "Sign in" to connect your Calendly account, then "Test trigger".
-
Step 4
Add the sending to Avis Boost
Click "+" to add an action, choose "Webhooks by Zapier", the "POST" event, then "Continue". In "Payload Type", choose "Json". In "URL", paste your Avis Boost address. In "Data", add one line per field of the table below: the field name on the left, the data on the right. Leave "Headers" and "Basic Auth" empty.
-
Step 5
Test, then publish
Test the action: Avis Boost answers "created" and the customer shows up in your contacts with the source "api". Then publish the Zap.
-
Step 6
Add a Zap for cancellations
Create a second Zap with the "Invitee Canceled" trigger. Add a filter that only continues when "Invitee Rescheduled" is false, then the same "POST" action to the same address, with the invitee's phone or email and a cancelled line with the value true.
The fields to send
Write the field name exactly as on the left. A mobile number or an email is required, the rest is optional.

Good to know
Create my account- When an invitee moves their appointment, Calendly cancels the old one then creates the new one: the filter on "Invitee Rescheduled" avoids cancelling the request of the new appointment.
- The text reminder number (Invitee Text Reminder Number) is only filled when the invitee accepted reminders: a dedicated mobile question is more reliable.
- Scheduled Event Start Time is given in UTC with its time zone: Avis Boost converts it to the time of your establishment.
